CHAPTER 8 Slim for Life So let's put together everything we have just talked about to be Slim for Life. 1- You already know everything you need to lose weight. Don't think the answers to your weight loss problems are to be found in new "super secret of the ancients" diets or more books etc... 2- The first obstacle is organization and habits. Change your habits and replace them with EASY ones and you will see immediate lasting results. Foods that are healthy yet fast and simple to make.(Read Chapters 2-3 for more) 3- Emotional eating is the biggest hurdle to get over. Take action today to conquer THAT and do not focus so much on diet. Conquer your emotions and your body will follow to reflect your new behaviors. 4- Exercise is not the most important aspect when it comes to being slim for life but it is VERY effective when combined with a proper diet. 5- Hormones in our bodies have very powerful effects on our bodyfat levels. Manipulate them using specific exercises and foods and you will have a huge advantage. In order for a DIET to work in the LONG-RUN it MUST satisfy 2 criteria: 1- It must be a diet that is healthy for you. 2- It must be a diet that can be reasonably sustained for the REST of YOUR LIFE!
