Can You Lose Weight Taking Cinnamon?
The quick answer is that it 'may' help a tiny tiny bit but I wouldn't bank on it doing much.
There is a lot of talk lately about cinnamon and its uses in helping to treat diabetes and for people trying to lose weight. The reason it was supposed to help was that it was assumed that cinnamon could help regulate blood sugar levels and you know from reading this page that regulating your sugar (meaning making sure your blood levels are not too high) is extremely important when trying to lose weight and very important for your health.
But medical studies have shown that cinnamon does not have a significant effect on blood sugar and so it is not an all powerful weight loss supplement. In my opinion, there is no plant or berry or spice that can significantly help you lose weight. It could never be that easy. It doesn't have to be hard and painful but popping a few pills or supplemental super foods just won't cut it.

The health benefits are a good enough reason to use it anyway. It tastes good and who knows, maybe with more study I'll be proven wrong. Stranger things have happened :)
